Can you believe the 2018 NACMA Convention is just a little over a month away? I don’t know about you, but the Convention is one of my favorite weeks of the year. In preparation, I’m going to give you 5 reasons to register for and attend the Young Professionals Workshop.

So who is the YP Workshop designed for anyway? Well the term “young professional” is probably hard to define for some. The nice part is that there are no title or role requirements. This workshop is packed with awesome programming to assist those who have less than 3 years’ experience in the industry. All young professionals are encouraged to attend the YP Workshop.
Need some convincing? Here are 5 reasons to attend:
- Get Started Early – Don’t miss out on the first morning of convention just for a chance to sleep in a bit. You never know who you will meet or run into as you head to workshop. Better yet, this is probably your best chance to find your way around with fewer people roaming the halls!
- Hear From Those at the Top – A panel of current Athletic Directors will share their career stories about how they rose from young professional to their current positions. Desire to sit in their seat some day? This panel is for you.
- Speed Networking – The YP Workshop will feature a speed networking session where you will get to meet a number of your peers. Get to know them because their situation might not be too different from yours.
- Learn About All Three Pillars – The session’s programming will touch on all three pillars of NACMA with conversations on fan development, branding and revenue generation. If you aren’t familiar with the three pillars and the NACMA Strategic Plan, learn more here.
