Bio

The brief version: I am a twelve year marketing and management veteran. Dynamic leader focused on developing a team culture of drive, creativity, and optimism to enhance the productivity of the work environment. Attack each day with enthusiasm and seek to continuously learn, improve, and grow.

More expansively, I began my career path as a middle school alternative education teacher. While the role was extremely challenging, it also was greatly rewarding, as it was exciting to be making a difference in the lives of youth. As I jokingly put it, if I could sell Education to students who did not want to learn and manage a classroom of students who are not accustomed to behaving, sales and management might be the way to go. That mindset propelled me back into school where I combined my love for sport and knack for sales and leadership into the Master of Science in Sport Administration program where I focused almost exclusively on marketing and sponsorships.

Following my return to school to get my Master's degree, I worked as an intern at Princeton University. My time as an intern led me into a full time role for the Tigers as Assistant Director of Marketing three months later. During that time I had a hand in generating over $500k in sponsorship revenue while executing the marketing and brand strategies for the department. After a year in the Assistant Director role I was promoted to the Director position.

After three years at Princeton I was afforded the unique opportunity of marketing the start up of a college football program when I joined the Charlotte 49ers. While football is a piece of the puzzle, my responsibilities also include oversight of the marketing and brand strategies for the department along with the leadership of a three person full-time marketing staff, fifty student employees, and the staffs of our tennis programs and spirit squads. Sponsor sales and fulfillment have also been a key component to the position.
