Xavier University, a member of the BIG EAST Conference, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Fan Engagement Graduate Assistant, which will serve an integral role in the operations of the fan engagement department reporting directly to the Assistant Director for Fan Engagement.
This position will focus on developing and executing a marketing plan for volleyball for the purpose of maximizing the fan experience. Other duties will include assisting with promotional efforts and gameday presentation for Men’s Basketball, gameday presentation for women’s basketball, digital and e-mail marketing, establishing effective on-campus grassroots marketing efforts aimed at increasing student attendance and supporting other department initiatives and special projects. The position will be required to work in the office as well as at numerous athletic and promotional events.
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports management or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in a collegiate marketing department
• Professional, results-oriented self-starter who takes initiative to solve problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple responsibilities
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Working knowledge of graphic design programs, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Employment Term Start Date: Beginning no earlier than August 3, 2026.
This is a two-year graduate assistantship that follows a 10-month schedule each year, beginning in early August and concluding at the end of May. Evening, weekend, and holiday hours will be required, and the schedule may vary. There are no benefits associated with this position. This position will work no more than 25 hours per week during each appointment period (August through May).
Compensation
This position provides a stipend at the beginning of each semester, as well as tuition coverage for Xavier’s Master of Science in Sports Administration program.
