Name: Emily Jakimowicz

Title: Assistant Director of Marketing

School: University of Pennsylvania

What excites you most about being a Conference Rep this year?

As a NACMA Conference Rep, I am very excited to represent both the Ivy League and the University of Pennsylvania. This opportunity
allows me to act as a liaison between my Ivy peers and the rest of the collegiate marketing community. I hope to be able to showcase
the amazing initiatives being implemented across the league, as well as share new ideas and information with my Ivy counterparts.

How will being a Conference Rep benefit you professionally?

As someone who is still relatively new to the world of athletics marketing, I'm looking forward to expanding my professional network. I
hope to take this opportunity to learn from my counterparts from other Universities at all levels.

What (3) words best describe NACMA and what it provides our industry leaders?

1. Universal: I believe that NACMA goes well-beyond marketing. While focusing on fan experience, revenue generation, and branding,
NACMA connects the worlds of athletic communications, ticketing, facilities, and more.

2. Imaginative: NACMA provides a creative outlet for each of its members, promoting innovative marketing strategies, as well as the
generation of unique and original ideas.

3. Evolving: With advancements in technology and more, collegiate marketing is ever-changing. NACMA provides insight into the latest
advancements throughout the industry.

What athletic administration accomplishment are you most proud of?

The accomplishment I am most proud of is the growth of our National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration. In February of 2017, I
launched our first annual NGWSD event. In conjunction with a home women's basketball game, the celebration invites local female
youth to meet Penn women athletes and coaches, learn fundamentals for a variety of sports, and hear about the experiences of being a
collegiate athlete at Penn. The celebration has become a popular promotion amongst our women's varsity programs and the Penn
community. In just three years, we have expanded our programming, enlisted a presenting sponsor, and tripled participation, forcing us
to look into a larger venue.

If you could be any mascot in athletics what would it be and why?

Honestly, I would not want to be a mascot. I prefer to have a more behind-the-scenes role and mascots are front and center all the time.
However, I wouldn't mind being the mascot handler for Gritty or the Phanatic.
